This is a mission building. They were put up by the Spanish in order to convert the indigenous population to Catholicism. One of the cute catholic traditions is that of confirmation. This is where you confirm your adherence to the religion at the age of 14. In return you get to choose a name. What would you trade at the age of fourteen to pick your own name?
